The Great Escape

We built them a nice little fernery,
Most of them seem quite happy....
I know sometimes I forget to water, and they watch their neighbours wither,
ok - I admit that's enough to make a few plants feel a little insecure and nervous,
but is it any excuse when my back is turned to do a Steve McQueen on me,
and does it have to look so damned happy about getting out!

It looks so pretty, Erica, but what is it?

It's a Clerodendrum thomsoniae (Bleeding Heart vine) it used to be very disinctively white and red like the one on this site http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/408/
but the last few years the white looks like it is reverting a little bit to pink.

Perhaps it's pink now because it's bleeding? (Isn't that pathetic!!!)

it's probably sunburnt - that'll teach it to escape the shadehouse

(are you really up and on the internet at 4.56am? VBG)

No, I'm sure I wasn't up that early (although I have been known to be). I think it was more like 5.30 - perhaps the time on your blog is out? Of course, your 4.58am is my 5.58am, remember? We're a bit more advanced down here ... lol.

Let's do a rewind on that last comment - I momentarily thought you were in QLD - then I remembered you are in Sydney, so now I have no explanation for the time.

LOL it would be ten years behind if I was in Qld, not 1 hour
can't explain the time either
